Surface preparation for painting
It has a significant impact on the final result – this item cannot be neglected! Careful “polishing” of the wood will increase the adhesion of the paint, which means it will extend the life of the coating. To begin, remove foreign matter and dust from the surface. It is best to perform this manipulation with a brush and a garden sprayer, washing the fence with water. If it is already affected by mold or rot, the “diseased” areas must be carefully treated with a special antiseptic composition. Pay close attention to the places of knots: remove the resin (if any) with a metal spatula, cover them with a special varnish. Coat nails and other metal accessories with an anti-corrosion primer.

At this preliminary stage can be considered completed. For 10-15 days, leave the fence to dry, covering it with plastic wrap. Take it off on sunny days.
